The Cave of Euripides by Delilah Bender
Oil on canvas, 12” x 12”
About the Artist:
Ever since I was little girl, I have had a love for making my own characters and telling stories about them. I love to use surreal and supernatural imagery of monsters, animals, and mystical creatures to convey different ideas. I use these concepts to cope with things that are going on in my own life. Every one of my characters represents myself or some aspect of my life such as anxieties, abstract thoughts, hope, fears, and desires. With these surreal ideas I turn a character inside out to expose their true nature and the demons that live within. The possibilities are endless, I can transport people into my own world.
